@motoridersd ooh, the Venture X does look like a good alternative. Shame that the travel credit is only towards travel booked through their portal though. I got used to the CSR automatic credit for all coded travel (that included parking fees at my office).

Well, Chase has massively increased the annual fee for the Sapphire Reserve card (again), and the new benefits are definitely not worth it for me. Anyone in the US know of a good alternative rewards credit card that comes with Priority Pass?

@gruff I just came across an "autodubbed" video today (of a Quebecoise cheese maker) and it was so...wrong sounding. I'm sure it was somewhat accurate, but I'd rather see the auto translated subtitles while still hearing the original language so I can catch the speaker's emphasis. You can pick up a lot more nuance from tone that would never come across in translations.

I'm so glad I had my new heat pump installed this past week, it's been working great -- it's so quiet!

Especially since we're expecting this coming heat wave in the next few days, where high temps will top 100°F (37.8°C) three days in a row 🥵

Up at 430 this morning. Overheating because I'm dehydrated. Woke up panicked about work shit and in my half awake daze somehow became fixated on the idea of "fuck it, I should just try to be a CTO". WTF brain?! I don't want that!!
