Spent WAY too much money but worth it. My wife and I don’t go out much. We aren’t drinkers so most nights we just stay home and game. Plus tonight’s game was my hometown (Seattle) verses my current town Dallas.

You want to know why visionOS has no devs/apps? A big reason that I’ve long argued is that Apple abused the goodwill it had wirh its developer community over capricious IAP/linking strategies. Apple assumed devs needed Apple more than Apple needed devs. And for the iPhone, maybe that’s true. But for new platforms, it isn’t. When you actively kick someone every time they come to hang out, don’t be surprised when they don’t come to your house anymore.

Now, after about two hours, all my nodes are back online. Proxmox nodes all had static IP on an old subnet. My big server is basically headless since the GPUs are ignored for the host video. Makes it really hard to get in and make network changes. To add to that, I turned off my old AP's wifi so I had to use my steam deck on the dock to use the ethernet to update the network config on the node. Fixing the cluster config was even worse…

City and apartment complex has a no open flame policy on apartment balconies. So we found this. Initial review, it has issues connecting to WiFi (yes it’s a smart BBQ 🙄) which kinda sucks but the Bluetooth works so at least there is that. Easy assembly which was also great.

Steak night! First time using the Current Backyard electric BBQ. It was quite spendy ($800 US) so we’ll see how these steaks turn out. Having a beer while I wait.

LG OLED really is the best TV ever. Probably the best purchase of last year for me.
