Canadians Banting and Best co-discovered insulin and its therapeutic potential. Banting received the Nobel Prize at age 32 and remains the youngest Nobel laureate in the area of Physiology/Medicine. In 1934 he was knighted by King George V.

Banting and Best are two of the world's most celebrated medical heroes. Their discovery of insulin has saved the lives of millions with diabetes. They selflessly donated the patent to fund research.

I would have missed the rainbow if it weren’t for a stranger going out of the local market as I was going in. She gasped and I turned around to see what was behind me.
