I'd love to know the C2 servers of honeygain for some research.

@elithebearded tested with curl over a squid proxy: curl sets up a TCP tunnel for https, so the server sees a HTTP/2 connection.
But there may be other paths.

With more than a few apache2 logfiles to check in my configuration it took a bit, but there is a clear error message in the default ErrorLog:
AH10034: The mpm module (prefork.c) is not supported by mod_http2. The mpm determines how things are processed in your server. HTTP/2 has more demands in this regard and the currently selected mpm will just not do. This is an advisory warning. Your server will continue to work, but the HTTP/2 protocol will be inactive.

The fun part (and a reason to investigate http/2): seeing visits with a "I'm a modern browser!" useragent not using http/2.

Enabling http/2 on haproxy at home. On the frontends it works fine (including fallback to http/1.1).
From haproxy to the apache2 backends I see the connection downgrade to http/1.1 for some reason, maybe related to using mpm_prefork for most backends.

All tested using #curl which is great for debugging http(s)
