Playing the "make rail fares make sense" game, in case I wanted to go into the office early tomorrow.

Travelcard:
For any train arriving in London before 10am: £51. (Full price Anytime fare)
For any train arriving in London after 10am: £29.90. (Off Peak fare)
For any train departing my local station after 10am: £19.90. (Off Peak fare with Railcard)
For any train arriving in London after 1pm: £16.95. (Super Off Peak fare from 2 stations further up the line, because they got rid of it from mine).

I have absolutely no idea why the Train Manager looked at me with disgust, and subsequently asked where I was going to, when I showed this to him.

This smartcard is actually dumb when people just look at it as you need to read it with a device.

I’m not asking for any special treatment with this piece of plastic. I travel Standard Class. I was sitting in Standard Class too. Wasn’t doing anything untoward. But no, I got a look like I’d murdered his beloved pet.
