@orphan I am also an Aussie. Some of these phrases are still very common in my community today. They are also very fitting for the specific characters I’m writing, their vocation, time and geographical location.

@orphan I’m confused. You’re saying aussies don’t use these words? Or the people who aren’t aussie also use these words? For context, it’s set in late 1980s rural Australia so they’re appropriate slang.

@orphan I’ve got things like cobber, carked it, feeling cactus. Not sure if non-Aussies will get them even in context.
