And I thought my codebase is overly complicated π

World of Wonders #Lego Architecture!
@mgorbach Thank you, thatβs exactly what I needed!
@aurelien πππ Billund is one of my favorite places on earth, thanks to the Lego House. Pure joy!
@rodrigoescobar a friend wanted an Aeropress, shipping at Kofio is free above 100β¬, so we started asking around if someone wanted coffee. Then we saw that DAK sold an exclusive roast there. Then we saw that Tim Wendelboe coffee was back in stock. So be ended up with 3,3kg of speciality coffee for 5 people π
Well that coffee ordering escalated a bitβ¦
@bobek_balinek that is basically what Iβm doing now, works fine thanks to usable state restoration in the NavigationSplitView! Not 100% ideal since that causes a jump on the Theme selection view, but probably the best I can so atm!
Thanks! :)
@MuseumShuffle thanks! π₯³
@bazscott Thanks! That is actually pretty helpful! Was already at the point where I could trigger the reload, but as you said it in the talk, it broke my hierarchy and your talk confirms that thatβs intended behavior without state restoration! Thanks!
@MuseumShuffle Iβm trying that out, thanks!
@harshil
Iβm on 16 and tried that, but using toolBarbackground broke the custom font that I allow to be set for Navigationbar / Toolbar items /: Setting the custom font via the appearance API too, since I havenβt found anything similar for SwiftUI
@MuseumShuffle Yes π
Another #SwiftUI question
Is there a way to force a NavigationStack / TabBar to reload when my internal color theme changes? I found no way around using the TabBar / NavigationBar styling via their UIKit Appearance methods, but changing the styling there when my theme changes doesn't trigger an update of my NavigationStack & TabBar.
Looks like mastodon.social is down, possibly due to a DDoS. Time to bring back the fail whale.
Theyβre looking for a DevOps type if anyone is looking.

A question to artists that are color blind (either fully color blind or any partial color blindness on the spectrum). What process / tools / techniques do you use to compensate for that handicap?
I'm red-green-blind myself, so I'm really curious to hear how other artists deal with this or similar conditions.
:boost_ok: Boosts are appreciated
Weβve been asked, countless times: βAre you folks working on a Mastodon app?β
The answer isnβt a simple one.
