@electron_greg love the coloured output!

2025-07-06

@wildrikku that'd do it. I was busy working out that the gaps weren't binary

2025-07-06

@jglrxavpok oh duh. Of course they are!

2025-07-06

Should this 2 have been a 1? Feel pretty dumb not finding the pattern here

2025-07-03

@morrick Something apt about a translucent envelope these days.

2025-07-02

Was Dylan even real?

2025-07-02

@codinghorror Meta using the term "authentic" is pretty laughable

Amazon just sent me an email to ask how the live chat with support went. The one that's still open, where the support rep hasn't responded or typed anything since the bot handed it over.

GitHub's "Large diffs are not rendered by default" will never cease to amaze me. Why would I want to reiew the biggest changes in the pull request?

2025-07-01

@gary_bbgames Ha, I remember you launching that!

@thejpster I ran a pentium machine in my boot off an inverter, with aux run through to my head unit. Had a remote control hooked up and could connect my Palm to see track info etc. It was janky but it worked.

Also, all those fears around moving HDDs while spinning? It lasted just fine :D

2025-07-01

@gary_bbgames I showed my youngest the picture of your two as kittens, she's constantly nagging me to show her again now :)

FortNine is a channel that's done high prod value motorcycle content for years, and occasioanlly you get a tech nugget like this perfect explanation of where all the streaming services are going wrong.

Spotify has devolved for me to the point where it'll end up playing the same tracks almost irrespective of what I start it on, it's what made me unsubscribe after a decade of use.

@rachel I got passed by an (IMO) underdressed rider with an underdressed pillion on an R6 the other day. The blue haze following him up the road was insane.

@eugenialoli Looks great! Did you see Cosmoe is back?

@ludicity FWIW as someone who's worked around Salesforce for the last 15 years, I take most of their marketing and headlines with a bucket of salt. Also their own AI LLMs that have been trained specifcally to generate Salesforce code are not great.

2025-06-27

@ludicity I might know someone who can help there with some good authority too. Will drop them a note.

@tdp_org Looks like the biggest single transfer is from a tool they use to track bugs as well. I really do hate the modern web

2025-06-26

@tdp_org I knew it was pretty fat, but geez. Just copied a link to one of our tickets and opened in a new tab with the dev tools open:

@gary_bbgames I feel like with the corporate hubris around AI there's going to be a lot of good developers swirling around very soon. Hopefully they start new businesses that are more sensible, less focused on growth at all costs, and we end up in a better place. Who knows though, some AI stuff is very promising, but I'm not sure it's enough to not burst a bubble and screw the entire industry.
