@Provinto thank you! I’ve been enjoying trying to do world/setting building more through book fluff than actual text, for a lot of player flexibility.

Finally getting back to work on my TTRPG, Resistor.

This filler idea was inspired by someone at my writer group, and I'm quite pleased with how it came out.

For optimistic Scifi, I cannot recommend Ursula le Guin highly enough. The Disposessed is fantastic. The Telling is also wonderful.

Octavia Butler's Parables duet for social scifi w/out rocketships.

More classic, Footfall (aliens invade modern-day-ish Earth) or The Mote in God's Eye (first contact by far-future human space empire) by Niven & Pournelle

Our players are:
Baker: (Hardholder) Adherent to the Church of Merry Berry, goddess of Baking. Missionary of Bread.

Tinker: (Savvyhead) Never forgets a tool, but hasn't remembered a name since aught seven.

Songbird: (Skinner) The truck's entertainment,. Moderately socially well adjusted. Also oh so pretty. Pity is, he knows it.

Zed: (gunlugger) Formerly of the Friary of Frymen, assassins w/ cattle prods. Discovered the joys of being an actual fry cook & never looked back.

I am starting an Apocalypse World game Monday.

For writing a PbtA game, I've only played a one shot of the OG AW. Decided to remedy that.

Setting- Dry Springs, the former Palm Springs, CA area

The players own an 18 wheeler converted into food truck/repair shop/mobile store, which they use to travel around Dry Springs bringing mail, materials, and dubiously digestible fare with them.

I don't just talk about table top gaming.

Writer, available for projects- game fluff, flavor text, setting, characters, adventures, ephemera...

Have portfolio, non-game publications, knack for tone, broad familiarity with settings/systems/genres, & detailed attention to internal consistency.

And way too much enthusiasm.
