@Chinchy Understood. Disagreement for sure, but I guess I’ve always had an anything goes kind of attitude towards world builders doing whatever they like in designing worlds. Especially in fantasy which should have no outside rules besides from the author since that can encompass a huge variety of worlds/stories.

Interesting discussion, it’s a pet peeve of yours I can understand your argument around regardless. ^^

@Chinchy I guess it depends on how seriously an author or world builder prefers to change things or simply deem some real world symbols/details as necessary or workable in their unique universe alongside other unique story elements!

Hmm, I understand this peeve of yours, though I think it’s situational. Sometimes an entirely fictional world is needed to set the scene and allow for a certain angle, theme or take on a preexisting religion (or a nearly identical version of it) to take place. ^^
