Amazing news. Much excite.

My mom's first cousin, Mark Warren, won a Pulitzer Prize for an article he wrote for Esquire Magazine.

The article is titled A Death In Alabama and is in Esquire's April 2024 magazine.

My whole family is freaking out, much excite indeed!

We are all so very proud of him.

Esquire Magazine has been in publication for 92 years and has never won a Pulitzer until now.

I have cried happy tears for him twice today.

The article is about Buddy Copeland, the pastor and mayor from Alabama who committed suicide after being outed by a conservative publication for some things he had posted online about being transgender.

Mark is a gifted writer and the article is beautifully written.

I have been very busy lately.

The flower shop takes my everything but we are killing it, breaking sales records, making lots of people happy and delivering beautiful floral designs.

I'm back.

I was very busy the past few weeks working crazy long hours at the flower shop.

Now that Valentine's Day is over and I've had time to rest and recover I am back to my normal schedule.

Also, I hate Valentine's Day.

The entire state of Louisiana is abuzz.

Baton Rouge & New Orleans are predicted to get 5-8 inches of snow over the next 48 hours.

Baton Rouge gets snow every few years or so, but New Orleans is a bit further south and has not had measurable snow since 1963 so this is pretty amazing.

Snow day!! Yayyyy!! ❄️⛄❄️
