This message hits hard.

Graphic with a blue background and large white text reading โ€œDEAR AMERICAN FRIENDS.โ€ Below is a screenshot of a post explaining that Canada does not have CBS, that a โ€œ60 Minutesโ€ episode aired normally in Canada, and stating that Canadian networks are not subject to U.S. government interference. The post ends with โ€œWeโ€™re not under a dictatorship. You are.โ€

OK, this is genuinely scary. It's a picture of me, aged 5. It was taken in 1960. It was scanned and uploaded to Google Photos in 2002. No one has told Google where it was taken. But the map, bottom right, is correct.

Obviously, in 1960, my father's pre-war Exakta camera did not have GPS. Could you identify, from that picture, exactly where it was taken?

Google can.

A black and white picture of a small, anxious boy with blond hair, sitting on a stony beach. At the top of the beach, on the grass, a line of cars is visible. The picture is on a Google Photos page, and at the bottom right of the page is a map which shows the exact location where the photo was taken -- and it's right.

Welcome.

Bathroom's down the hall, to the left.

The only rule: Don't talk about Fight Club.

The only other rule: all posts must take into account the Fediverse's core purpose: That of being an Abe Vigoda tribute site

Enjoy! ๐Ÿ˜œ

My Bing Crosby and Dean Martin impressions are eerily similar. You have to listen pretty closely to parse 'em...

I've read memoirs that were diaristic (the preferred literary critical term), but I've also read some that are "diaretic", lol

If you aren't already a connoisseur of , reading and reviewing my 2021 fantasy novel *The Be(k)nighted, The Untold Origin of The Precept* is going to be toughโ€”a bit like giving a horse review after riding a Unicorn.

A new day. A new chance to succeed.

The thing about last minute tasks isn't that they're last minute. It's that they're sometimes necessary.

Cooking dinner is almost always done "last minute" so it can be served hot and fresh. I'm a "look in the pantry, what can I make?" kind of guy.

It can be frustrating to be racing the clock as unfinished tasks pile up, but staying calm lets me put my energy on the tasks.

Whatever your last minute tasks might be, I hope you face them calmly #today
