Barracoon written by Zora Neale Hurston is an absolute masterpiece.
In her book, she recalled the story of one of the last African taken as a slave in 1860. She let Kosola, narrating himself his life in Africa, how the king of Dahomey killed the people of his village, how he sold them to Americans and how he came in the U.S and lived there.

I'm studying a 16th century manuscript of the Qur'an with Latin Catalan and Castillan annotations and its relations with other texts (classical exegeses of the Qur'an, Morisco translations of the Qur'an, Humanist perceptions of the Qur'an).
