“Hello, good evening, and welcome”, as David Frost used to say. This is my fourth fediverse account and therefore my fourth #introduction so I should know what to put by now, unfortunately I still have no clue.
I've been on various social media sites over the years. It all started way back in 1990 when I did the #OU DT200 information technology course. This gave me access to their CoSy based conferencing system. From there I explored various #BBSs before joining #CIX. From there I migrated to #Facebook and #Twitter via #Usenet and alt newsgroups. When He Who Shall Not Be Named took over Twitter I decided that it was time to move on and so joined the Fediverse. My first instance was mastodon.me.uk. I followed quite a few people who were on various Misskey forks though and decided that I too wanted to play with all the cool MFM tricks and so moved to shonk.social (RIP). Later I was invited by soph@ice.sophari.org to join her instance. That account still exists and I’ll be hanging on to it for the foreseeable future.
My interests cover a variety of areas such as: #Cats, #Photography and #Cooking. Recently, I’ve taken up art using #Krita and #music using #LMMS so, once I get myself sorted with them, I’ll be posting pictures and music from time to time.
That’s probably more than enough waffle from me but if there’s anything else you want to know just ask, I promise that I don't bite.

@MikeH@transfem.social that's fair, but the lack of any interactions is such a red flag to start with, especially with a brand new account. it feels like the account like just went through the followers of popular accounts and mass followed accounts at random

@alice@wondering.land I generally keep accounts like that on the waiting list for a while to see if they're going to turn out OK. I mean, I don't know why anyone would follow me but if they seem harmless I'll let them.

Revisited the old “throw images into a pile” program. It would often produce piles that would be great if some of the cards were just nudged this way or that way slightly. So I amended it to create a PSD file with individual layers and I can now nudge away at my own chosen speed.
