Our #TNC24 conference is over. What a week it has been. Catching up with so many friends and colleagues, meeting many new friends and colleagues, discovering new future talents and generating new ideas to pursue. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. This is an awesome community.

I know how important it is to support the network and all the services that make researchers work efficiently - both in France and in Europe.

First by ensuring that @renater , which is a historic NREN in Europe, is even more present within @geant , and second to support GÉANT in the European landscape.”

This morning at #TNC24, we remembered those of us from our community who can no longer be with us.

GÉANT Board chair Gilles Massen took the opportunity to remember our beloved colleague and friend Sarah Jones.

We at GÉANT continue to miss Sarah terribly.

Marina Adomeit @sunet , accepting the award at #TNC24: "It is a tremendous honour to stand here today. I feel incredibly fortunate to have joined this community right after university. It is a giving and driving force that enables us to accomplish great things in support of #research and #education."

Hello CFO!

How does this sound: 160 head non-profit organisation with offices in two countries, main office in Amsterdam branch office in UK, with partnerships in 65 countries. The problems of a multinational embedded in an SME that is small enough to know everyone by name and face. We call it the GEANT family, 40 different nationalities one set of values.

A finance department that is on top of the issues and sails through all audits without even a minor remark. A procurement department that has not been challenged on any procurement. All top professionals.

The new CFO we seek helps us in our strategic thinking and makes sure the finance, procurement and compliance develops to support the strategy.
