@BlindHams I found out about a work around. If you have the new alexa plus, try saying enable the blind hams network skill. Supposedly putting the word skill at the end causes it to load the older skill. I don't have a way to test this first hand though.

@VE3RWJ the hardest part is keeping your angles consistent its best to get something that will keep the knife held at the same angle across the blade. That said, you'll be able to do it fine, it just won't be perfect. Check out some knife sharpening videos on youtube.

@N2DYI You should put as many of those together as you can. This way when people ask why you don't like it, you just push play.

@N2DYI The only reason I keep mine is I like how well it talks. I like virtually nothing else about the radio. I don't even have a desire to get the rich people d75 unless I get it on as good of a deal as I got the d74.

@VE3RWJ Yeah, use anything that isn't firefox. For some reason firefox blocks the cooky. It does have a text thing but its rather odd.

mounting my diamond MGC50 Window Feedthrough Cable again for about the 4th time. This time I'm trying water proof command strips. I don't want to use sticky tape that is too heavy duty since I will want to remove it without damaging the plastic case. I'm impressed so far, its still working well after 2 years. The plastic covering is a little messed up from being shut in the glass door.

One thing I absolutely hate about #HamRadio culture is the term "XYL" given to a ham's significant other upon marriage.

1) Really dude? Seems rude, not funny nor cute.
2) To my ears it sounds like Ex-Wife, not the ham's current wife. So you have to check with your ex-wife before buying that new radio/antenna/tower/whatever?

@w8wjb You may want to check the settings for the group since you can't read the post if your not a member. Stuff like this could be useful to have access to in read only mode if your not a member. I read the release notes and I was wondering where you find these flick buttons?

@M0YNG also, if people don't want to use the extra characters, they don't have to, but, they are there if people want, or need to use them.

@M0YNG I see nothing wrong with increasing the limit. Longer posts are passed on to outside servers so no content will get lost, and a lot of the traffic stays local to the ham radio instances anyway.

@N2DYI I wonder if they had a problem with the repeater and they wanted to make sure no one would talk it off?
