Activism should be outcome oriented. What do you want done? And what is the best way to make that happen? Those are the questions you need to answer.
For example: Carbon sequestration is economically and sustainability out there.
Unfortunately, it requires doing things beyond lobbying to have things be done.
For another example on immigration: this is a long struggle, and there are many ways to support immigrants beyond what's happening right now in the streets. You can volunteer with pro-immigrant organizations, offer direct aid, or even pursue a career in immigration law. Channel this energy into something that makes meaningful change. But to do that, you have to stay safe and keep other people safe, and ultimately vote in people who will make good and fair immigration policy.
Just the way it is.
I was largely off social media and almost entirely separated from the news cycle while being on vacation for the last week and a half, and I have to say, diving back in feels like smelling really strong moonshine after a night of heavy drinking that gave you the worst hangover of your life.
I will definitely be spending far less time at it, and none at all arguing with any random purity testing knob/denier of reality who’s either a tool for propaganda or unknowingly picked it up.
Don’t shoot or commit acts of violence against people in the street or in their homes over political issues and don’t make excuses for people who do.

Black civil rights movements were led by brilliant people who knew how to use the media to influence public opinion and get the country on their side (the right side).
Prior to any action, leaders spent months in church basements and other meeting spots training each other on how to resist police provocation and always respond with non-violence and to have a specific goal for every action.

I am very disillusioned with anyone who tried to push Biden out, too.
Voters chose him in a primary. It was cowardly for people to jump on him. Elite white people were all over it.
But I would caution people on going Independent. In many places you can’t vote in a primary and if you’re not her, your voice can be erased.
