Nothing I could put my finger on but their general aura made me leery of them. The one time I exhibited at NYCC I was left with a distasteful "nerd culture = consumerism" vibe.

@SKleefeld Yeah "walk" is an exaggeration. Out long enough to find a place where business can be done and then straight back.
(Unfortunately I found out last night that if I slip, fall, and lose the leash my normally clingy dog will go merrily bounding through the snow dunes.)
@SKleefeld Right now Columbus is hanging on to double digit degrees, but I know the colder stuff is coming tonight.
Also the snow is almost exactly one Lucy deep, making even quick business walks for my dog-girl a challenge

My lunch hours are filled with planning for the 15th anniversary slate of Nix Comics titles. Definitely still off crowdfunding sites but will still probably come up with some sort of dashboard with a spoofy title for those you who like the "inside baseball" aspects of a subscription drive.
@SKleefeld Yeah, for whatever reason, things run their course and it rarely has anything to do with one person's talent or vision or whatever.
I think its a lot like a pro-sports career. Very few athletes achieve any level of success and fewer still maintain for an extended period of time.

@SKleefeld One of the reasons I've done mostly short stories/anthologies is the tedium thing. It's definitely a Ramones-ian mindset in my case... Say my thing fast and loud and then move on to the next thing.
