Strangely this is my first hike up Mount Løvstakken, despite it being right outside my house. We’ve spent a lot of time up on Mount Fløyen, which you can see to the left.
But this is my first hike up here. To my mountain, if I can call it that. It’s windy, the path is covered in snow and spotted with ice, and it’s a steep hike.
This hike is both physical and spiritual healing. My back hurts and is in need of a good hike, and my mood was growing gloomy sitting inside on a nice day. (Note to self; if you gotta spend hours at an airport, wear sensible shoes.)
I’ve quit my job at Kulturtanken, and moving on to greener pastures. Spending some days now «in-between» before starting up my new gig. And looking out at this view, I couldn’t be more content. There are mountains. There is quiet. There is peace.
Just too bad I didn’t bring some coffee, a flask and a pipe. There is always next time.
