You see this is why I think mass protest can be very educational. For many people who participated this isn't a shock. It's just how it works. But, a lot of people are finding out just how biased their media is today.

As they read a report on the single window broken not the thousands who were on the streets. People in LA are learning too.

Really I didn't understand just how biased media was until I first went to a protest or two.

I come from a family of migrants. There was a time last century when most of my ancestors then living went to the other side of the world (to fight in WW2, or to flee from it).

I owe everything I have (not merely my possessions and freedom, but my life, my very existence!) to their ability to establish new lives for themselves in a remote place.

It's very humbling, really. Is it even possible to repay this kind of mortal debt?

It is possible, of course. And it's very simple. All I have to do is to treat migrants in the 21st century with the same kind of tolerance and respect my predecessors depended on for their lives in the 20th.

Possibly, somebody else might feel the same way?

I take it all back. $45 million was a small price to pay to humiliate President Trump at his own parade and mobilize millions of Americans across the nation to demonstrate against him.

There have been two incidents of people driving into protests, running over protestors, and the media in the US keeps downplaying it as much as possible; going as far as putting intentional in quotes

The first was at the recent anti-ICE protest in Chicago, where a woman drove into a crowd, running over a woman

And a second happened at the No Kings protest in Washington

This type of downplaying right-wing terrorism is very typical in the US media unfortunately
