'Open access is of great importance, but we need to seriously consider how we want to achieve it and what costs we find acceptable,' said Arfan Ikram of NWO & ZonMw, commenting after the yearly #openaccess monitor was published. The monitor showed that in 2023, 94.6% of publications resulting from ZonMw and NWO funding were published open access, with an estimated total cost of 10.9 million euros. Like last year, the monitor is entirely based on open metadata. https://nwo.nl/en/news/nwo-and-zonmw-analyse-open-access-publishing-costs-in-2023-monitor

@egonw hi Egon, de DOI's worden uitgegeven aan nieuwe projecten, niet met terugwerkende kracht.
All projects funded by NWO now receive a unique Grant ID. This persistent identifier by Crossref ensures that outputs—publications, data, software—are easily discoverable and linked, enhancing #OpenScience and #FAIRdata https://www.nwo.nl/en/news/nwo-funded-research-projects-get-unique-identifier-with-grant-id
