A few small clarifications and corrections.

The primary phishing resistant property of passkeys comes from the authenticator signing over the origin, and the server (RP) verifying that the signed origin is what they were expecting. Things like proximity and RP ID matching are additional soft protections.

Re: authenticator types. Platform and Roaming aren't really types. The important distinction is the credential type, not the authenticator type. There's device-bound passkeys and synced passkeys, both of which can be stored in both roaming and platform authenticators.

RE: hybrid transport, typically called FIDO Cross-Device Authentication (CDA). The authenticator (on the phone) does not talk directly to the authentication server. CDA operates between the device with the authenticator and the client device where WebAuthn was invoked.
