Happy 300th Birthday Kant!
My judgement in a brief post: His metaphysics* was inspired, creative, highly-detailed—but flawed (wrong to assume part of Hume, corrected by Whitehead). His moral theory was terrible (see Schopenhauer). Fun to read him on aliens, Swedenborg, and peace.
A bit of Bergson.
I was introduced to Bergson's thought by Keith Ansell-Pearson at Warwick University some twenty years ago. Though I'm not fully in agreement with Bergson, I do believe that he is one of the most original thinkers of the past few centuries.
Currently enjoying Adam Toon's Mind as Metaphor, the first chapter of which will be discussed with him tomorrow in the new Mind and Metaphysics Group at Exeter.
Today begins the first module in our new course, the online PGCert in Psychedelics: Mind, Medicine, and Culture!
Thanks to the university team and the special guest lecturers for creating this new milestone.

Spiralling back to Bergson.
Sorry

I'm interviewed by Àlex Gómez-Marin in Pari, Tuscany on consciousness, metaphysics, psychedelic therapy, etc., for the Pari Center.
'Not only the general attitude of #Wordsworth, but many of his most memorable poems and phrases cannot—one is almost tempted to say—be appreciated in their full significance by one who has never been under the influence of #mescal.'

@davelee Thanks Dave. Would love to talk to you about it all.
Here's my account of undergoing Holotropic Breathwork – A fantastic experience of entering trance simply through breathing and music. I include the theory, method, my personal trip, and some reflections.
Two new psychedelics books in which I'm happy to find myself mentioned.

Odd text from William James: 'On Some Hegelisms', 1882. Starts by celebrating Hegel's rejuvenation in Britain & America; offers a waffling critique of Hegelism; finishes with a stop-press endnote claiming nitrous oxide makes one grasp that there are truths of Hegelism after all.
