Oh yeah, I think I started to smell that before I stopped watching her.

I could relate to her frustration with academia but it pushed her into the Elon Zone, which required some MAJOR blind spots.

Did she go to some new depth with this Empty Space video or are we just savoring our acrid memories of her?

No moral equivalence intended at all. The point is that extreme wealth destroys people's minds and should be prohibited.

Both extreme wealth and poverty seem to disconnect people from their own actions.

If you are mega wealthy, every decision you make has a happy ending, so without consequences you have no real agency.

If you're very poor, every decision you make has a sad ending, so you also have no agency.

Maybe there's a mirror image to the pathology of learned helplessness for the extremely rich, which would explain why they act increasingly crazy.

I don't know, but I have 2 meters which both need calibrating. One adds 0.5 ohms to every resistance. Still looking for a manual on how to fix that. Voltages are off, too.

I have also found that DC ripple makes my DC voltage readings unpredictable. Maybe your mesh is an antenna for 60hz house wiring? If there's a diode in the meter it could be rectifying it to look like bias.

A desperate tech would take it outside into a field.

If you connect the inner and outer meshes to a known DC power supply, what does the meter say? Does it consistently add voltage or does the problem go away?

Does approaching from a different side give different results? Maybe capacitance of the probe wires is an issue.
