Vielleicht kann man den Berlin-Bildern von heute erkennen, was es bedeutet, dass die Kamera das verlängerte Auge ist. Sie setzt um, was ich sehe, aber dafür muss ich wissen, was sie tut. Die K-x konnte das, die k-50 nicht, die k-70 (und die m-x) können es wieder. strange....

A day at the Berlin Zoologischer Garten. They had an elephant calf and i could have stayed for hours to photograph it. But some other were suitable for photography too.

Today is vegetables day. I was on the road with my mom and a sign said: Fresh vegetables. Of course we went there and I had so much fun with taking all the colours there.

Hm. I started DSLR photography in 2010 with a Pentax k-x (50mm fix and 18-200mm) and i loved the cam so much. Later i bought a Pentax k-50 and we never became friends, i don't know why. It was a wrong feeling. For some years i use a Pentax k-70 (18-250mm) and the old love for photography is back again (even if take the most snapshots, especially from the dogs, with my pixel8pro)
So my advice is, try as much cameras as you can get. Imagine some photo situations you are sometimes in, sky, buildings, a chick, trees, take similar pictures, look at them at the computer and make sure you like the camera. Make sure, that it ist a extension of your eye. If you are in the neighborhood you are welcome to try out my Pentax.

And he is very very beautiful!

In 2016 we went to Lago d'Iseo in the north of Italy to see the Christo installation "floating piers". That was really really chaotic there, far too few parking spaces, train failures, an incredible number of people. We gave up. I took the first picture from the opposite shore (you can see a orange line arounf the island on the first picture). Instead we went to Brescia, a beautiful city, and played with the dogs at the river Chiese near Prevalle, where we had a beautiful flat. And a phantastic breakfast every morning. Was a good trip.

Todays pictures are taken at the church I work in and for. The Marienkirche in Reutlingen. Perhaps one of the most beautiful gothic churches in south germany. Built from 1247, destroyed in 1726 and neogothic rebuild from 1893 (the year, our home was built.) I love being there, especially in the late hours of the day, when the evening sun shines through the stone rosette above the gorgeous organ from Rieger.

Todays pictures are taken at the Abbaye de Saint-Mathieu de Fine Terre in Plougonvelin (Bretagne, France). A somehow magical place. Standing there, seeing the sky through the non-existent roof of the abbey, listening the waves of the Atlantic Ocean, it's just marvellous. And of course i had a great time with my dogs there.

Todays pictures are four of the hundreds I took in the Cité de l'Automobile in Mulhouse 2016. If you like cars, , especially old cars, this is a kind of paradise. Two bros from Alsace, which had a textile factory, had the plan, to collect nearly all the Bugatti cars ever made. For this plan, they ruined their factory and themselves. Their employees found out, that the two had betrayed them just to buy hundreds of cars... Puh! Fortunately the french state made the collection to a National Heritage site. We stay in Spain with these veeery old pictures taken 2007 in Mallorca. My brother lived in Palma at this time and I visited him often - from Stuttgart it's just a 90 minutes flight. Especially in winter (the pics are taken in february) it's such a quiet and beautyful island.

Todays pictures are taken in Madrid and the trip to and from. My cousin moved to Madrid in 2014 and he asked me as a passionate driver to help him with move. I was very surprised, that Madrid was such a relaxed city. I knew about the beauty, but all the people were so calm, so friendly. No comparison with, to say it friendly, loud and dynamic Barcelona.

Today some pictures i like from our June 2023 stay in Burgundy. Monst of the time we took long walks with the dogs around Dancevoir and so we discovered this old Abbaye de Longuay which is slowly being renovated. And, being in france, cooking was like being in paradise.
