Dad… it’s been 9 years. In our family collection of blurry, squinty and poorly composed photos around the world, I found this - a typical Pratchett shot since we are 1)Not looking at the camera 2)focused on food and 3) embracing hat wearing. The trifecta. Miss you always. ❤️
@Tattooed_mummy Not a big cola drinker, but I always thought that Coke tasted better out of the glass bottles when I spent some time in Greece a few years back.
@newsfromitaly I've found a Brexit bonus. My family originated in Apulia, and I'd fell in love with the town of Martina Franca, and intended to retire there, but Brexit stopped that. Maybe a good thing as it's not far from Taranto.
Well the Pope can fuck right off.
If he's going to take Putin's side, then he should butt out of international affairs and go back to protecting paedophile priests or whatever his day job is.
This stinks to high heaven.
WTF was anyone thinking letting a former MP who was kicked out of Parliament in disgrace conduct official government business, even if he did get his Russian oligarch mates to pay for the trip?

Tried to watch one of Amazon Prime's "Movies we think you'll like", managed maybe 10 minutes and about half of that was the titles, the acting (I use the word acting loosely) was so wooden, and the dialogue was flat, like they were reading the script whilst filming.

Engineer Dr Hugh H. perfectly recreated the famous WWII bouncing bomb to blow up a specially constructed dam in Canada
George Galloway once asked the late Donald Dewar why it was that folk seemed to take an instant dislike to him. Dewar replied, "It saves time, George."
So Rishi Sunak claims that "Extremists are a growing threat to British democracy" does he? Well, quite apart from the FPTP/HoL sham that passed for his much-vaunted democracy, I would qualify as an environmental extremist, prepared to demonstrate and protest in support of a sane and fair world that might, just conceivably, have a future if we can turn around the machine of rampant capitalism and consumerism. So arrest me as an enemy of what you stand for, Rishi!
Terribly sad, and far too young. RIP.

ETA Insurance: "Is it acceptable to cause harm to another person? To steal? To take a flexible approach to health and safety regulations to save a little time? According to research by psychologist Dr Ian Walker, it can depend on whether or not a car is involved."
"Perhaps it goes a little way to explaining his earlier research that found drivers pass an average 8.5cm closer to cyclists wearing a helmet than those without."

@Lana In the UK we call it Rugby, played by big men and women, without all that namby-pamby padding.
