Do we exclude anyone else from competitions for being good at it? No (unless you count men making women's divisions every time they get beat by a girl).

To actually get there is going to require a different sort of leadership

Because either the crews are being overworked (which is totally on-brand for Musk), or changes need to be made that aren't in line with "the vision"

In either event, the booster is itself pretty amazing and could be being put to use launching payloads that Falcon Heavy can't handle.

But doing that would mean admitting that they don't have the second stage worked out according to the vision, and the whole "reusable second stage" concept has a whole lot of Musk's ego wrapped up in it
