@host Hey. Trying to convince Dyson Logos from G+ he would be welcome here. His post is here: plus.google.com/+DysonLogos/po His complaint about Masto was in past he gained no traction and people complained about him positing his map of the day every day. Would that be cool here?

boost this to convince me to call the doctor to set up an appointment to get help for my mental illness (this is the strangest, most authentic and shameless thing I've ever tooted)

@Tyson_NW I've always wanted to make ash and smoke zombies, for this exact reason.

@gallowglass I ran a couple of sessions. I liked it fine. Very reminiscient of OD&D.

Very simple system that mostly just focuses on getting out of your way IMO.

@pxzzx I do this far too much, especially with PDFs

@gallowglass have you looked at SWN at all? It feels very inspired by Traveller

When new game makers ask me for advice, the first thing I ask them is, "Do you want to be a game designer or a game publisher?"

It's really a trick question, but it's intended to demonstrate they are two different skillsets and disciplines that both require effort in order to be successful (even marginally).

So far my experience with Mastodon has been that local timelines are great, but take multiple accounts, and the federated timeline is... not good, no matter what instance I'm on.

I think my ideal experience would be a way to merge multiple timelines into a personal curated federated timeline. What's the fediverse equivalent of a pocket dimensions?

@Dauntless Fair enough. Another way to approach it is to focus on the details that a satellite cant really deduce.

Theres ruins on this planet in this jungle, there are some life forms there.

Thats kinda wide open still for exploration.

I would still be tempted to go with hexes within hexes, solar system->Planet->Hemisphere->Continent->etc.

So. I have had this idea percolating in my head for years now.

Basically its Dog Day afternoon the RPG.

The idea would be One player plays a Hostage Negotiator, One plays the Hostage taker. I would consider optional rules for playing hostages or additional hostage takers.

Hostage takers would have hidden goals that the Negotiator is trying to figure out.
The goal would be to make it a very intimate game with lots of power to change dynamics on both sides.

@Dauntless Id change the scale. The "hex" is a space hex with a planet in it. SWN has some stuff like this IIRC.

@wizardpedia give me a book

@wizardpedia give me a wand

@wizardpedia give me a familiar

@wizardpedia give me a familiar

@wizardpedia make me a wizard

@Miru for the underwater part you need to play under the sea from little mermaid
