@xandra let me know if there's anything I can do to help. see y'all soon!
@trashrobot I'll just take that part out
all good!
Here's a better example, still a placeholder but closer to what I'm making:
https://releaf.marigold.town/Flowerbed.html
^ mimics 1997 page with QT VR, but with updated, real, content
^ the panorama has labels of real world propagation sites
---
the whole project is to stimulate replication, propagation with *real examples and *also there's creative fiction thrown in sometimes to build lore
@trashrobot I can edit any or all of that. thanks for the feedback.
i do want to make something that is real, and it's very normal for cooperatives to have memberships
not a scam, rather a transparently worker organized cooperative is what we are going for!
@trashrobot psst.. I'm working on a new website project at releaf.marigold.town, as part of the "town" opening on Oct 7. Not sure yet what others are making, but ReLeaf is parodying the early website design of The Huntington Library, Art Collection & Botanical Gardens. I've got a running start on the gardens and library themes (namely, celebrating propagation quantities and adding creative writing)... For the "Art Collection" section... Maybe a Geometron art interactive?
@marado @trashrobot the single is noice!
@trashrobot fyi, a friend of ours here in Austin is a modular synth performer that goes to Berlin several times a year
he may be interested in the sound generators you're invoking, and also his parent Lisa Cameron frequently plays experimental music on weird instruments. they both know art and audio people all over the place

join in the fun by adding your own #VertiCan network into your local watershed
@xandra π this town πΆπ
#VertiCan countup to one billion continues..
#47/1,000,000,000
A VertiCan is an upcycled can with a drainage hole and optionally a wick. Buried 6 inches, they make ideally shaped durable planters for free. They're perfect for replicating cuttings.
@trashrobot the first person who came to mind is Lisa Cameron. She does a lot of experimental sound projects and her son Dylan Cameron is also an accomplished modular synth performer
seems noteworthy that the answer turns out to be...
an essential symbol in Geometron (and Nature, of course), the square root of 3
https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/mathematicians-solve-50-year-old-moebius-strip-puzzle
@trashrobot re-reading this chapter and practicing with the examples ..and it's starting to make a lot more sense !
(btw the on-page graphical keyboard needs a box button.. it works with b on the keyboard tho)
We deliver any quantity of these, for free, to any ReLeaf site (Little Free Library or other suggested location in the Shoal Creek, Waller Creek, and Fort Branch watersheds).
We are currently seeking cooperative members in Austin and beyond to cultivate and provide Tradescantia pallida and other species for free to ReLeaf sites in their local watersheds. Inquire by email: bryceb@releaf.site. Thanks!
@trashrobot we're working on a parallel project, but instead of cubes, it's propagated cuttings of species such as Tradescantia pallida (Purple heart)
https://releaf.site/tradescantia-pallida
we're tracking "Expressions" (specific sites with growing replications) and soon offering replications for free to people who want to help propagate them further
@trashrobot Iβm starting to get a feel for it.. i found a spare keyboard that I may affix labels to..
..and I would like to continue to try it and also get it working on Shoal Creek
I see the textbox for the key sequences.. is there a way to send the sequence as a URL parameter, so that a QR code scan would load the page with the sequence already filled in?
@trashrobot awesome, thanks for the guidance π«
@trashrobot please share the codes for how to draw these, when you get a chance
i got stuck and could only make letters but not lines, gonna have to consult the manual
