Coming out at 60 - because we're not all 20.
About 20 million Americans are waking up today asking themselves if universal healthcare might be a good idea. And they will be motivated by one thing. Self interest.
In Canada we have universal healthcare because we won't live in a society that ignores seniors, or people who are a colour other than the one we see each day in the mirror. We protect LGBTQ folks, the weak and the homeless. And if by chance we need healthcare, well that's an added bonus.
That's how civilized people live.
