@pointlessone Maddest of lads. I have 2x keyboards as well, and enter is in different places on both.

Where is backspace on your keyboard?

Trillion dollar company. Unusable. No wonder the AI companies are eating their lunch.

Google, when asked to roll a d100, instead rolls a d6 and rolls something incredibly mid.Chat GPT rolls a 67. Decent.Claude rolls a 73. Clearly demonstrating it is better than ChatGPT.

What's a cheeky private method mutating a passed-in hash between friends anyway?

Same tbh

Use Signal. We promise, no AI clutter, and no surveillance ads, whatever the rest of the industry does. <3

Forced Consent & Consent Bypass

16 June 2025
Meta announced today that it also wants to introduce ads on WhatsApp, which will be based on personal data from Facebook and Instagram. This further integrates WhatsApp into other Meta services - an originally independent app, which initially was available for just $1 per year without ads or data usage. This also means that Meta is consolidating its social networking monopoly. EU law was actually supposed to prevent this."

I'm 100% on board with this:

gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/libxml2

Both that the security theater is that. (In #VarnishCache we could not get a CVE under embargo because we did not have enough bugs calling for a CVE!)

But also that unpaid FOSS maintainers dont owe anybody nothing:

Perfectly valid Ruby:

self.class_eval do
include Shenanigans
end
end

@b0rk it’s a wonderful little utility!

Have put some things in place that should mean that my team doesn't get woken up at all this week by random card attacks. Very keen to watch this trap get sprung.

Fx (fx.wtf) is a nice alternative to `jq`. Same ability to quickly dig and extract values out of nested JSON but comes with a nice UI traversing the data structure, showing the syntax, copying, and immediately using. In other words, you don't have to remember all of the syntax, let the UI show you.

Doesn't hurt that the commands are Vim-like too.

Do wish it had an XDG configuration, though (uses environment variables instead).

Definitely a productivity boost!

Taking some joy in watching the printer print a double sided blank page, then immediately jam when it tried to print anything of substance.
