Not shown: I used the Fibonacci joker (sold for Gros Michel) and it worked really well! I could fill my deck with Hearts cards without fearing of the Boss debuffing them since I had the ticket to reroll the Boss blind. Still got whacked by the one debuffing cards used that ante. 🥲 Good run!

Another #Balatro win, with the Green Deck this time, that basically makes it easier to get rich. That was unlikely IMO... But the Lusty Joker boosting Hearts + getting the Castle early so it could accumulate a lot of chips helped a lot.

Having quite a lot of stone cards and the four fingers Joker was surprisingly powerful, since I could make 4-cards Straights and Flushes and complete them with a stone card. As long as I made sure to discard the low numbers, the Red Fist was particularly useful too. Good synergy!

A bit more detail: the first joker gets 0.1x mult when using planet cards so I spammed them. The Driver License gets 3x mult if you have at least 16 enhanced cards, and the stone joker generating a stone card every blind helped getting there. The Burnt Joker helped leveling up low hands quickly

Another day, another win at #Balatro. This time with the Yellow Deck. A tough one because starting with 10$ is not much of a bonus... But it worked somehow. Not shown: the Joker who spawns a Stone card on every blind, sold for the Burnt Joker. Took me to Ante 10 before finally getting whacked 😄

I wonder what would be the cheapest? From my research, storage is usually the most expensive when having your own server. Going above 50GB costs $$$$... Need to research.

Wanted to obtain an easy to use cloud storage of about 500 GB, on an hopefully cheaper alternative than Google Drive since they don't have any 500GB plans.
I'm trying out NordLocker at the moment, works well so far, but doesn't like spaces in filenames (it replaces them with underscores).

@Igigog For daily commute, I do bike - although it's uphill all the way so not very enjoyable. E-bike could help. Montreal winter is usually too cold to bike by regular means (and it lasts 6 months), some people do but they usually have a "winter bike" and other equipments, and I dont have the storage space in my small apartment. Plus still not very enjoyable 😅😅
I still need a car to shop a full trunk of groceries from Costco or go to a regional park 200 km away, which is my use case

At 400$+ per month, I should buy a car TBH. Which is a shame, because IMHO using a car maybe 2 or 3 times per week is a scenario where carsharing should still be cheaper. Isn't the point of this thing to have less cars on the road? Not happening anytime soon if it continues like that. Bonkers...

And I got into carsharing because car companies like Thrifty or Dollar, which used to be the absolute cheapest, made their prices go BOOM during Covid so much that I never returned. Communauto is a quasi-monopole in Montreal, so now with lots of people like me, they too are bumping their prices...

When I arrived in Quebec in 2019, I was basically hiking every weekend, and we rented a car every time to go. So at least 4 full-day rentals per month. If I wanted to do that now, I think my monthly bill would be over 1000$... 🤯

Given that I usually take communautos just for grocery shopping and maybe a getaway on Saturdays here and there (i.e.: rare and mostly short trips), my monthly bill is frequently over 400 CAD per month now... which is insanely expensive, I believe.

Hmmm... In Montreal we have this cool carsharing service called Communauto that works really well, but I cannot help to notice that recently, service quality dropped while prices took a MONSTER hike, so much that customers now happily flee to a newcomer competitor (Leo)...

So, TIL : acidic fruits like pineapples, oranges, lemons can actually go bad while still looking okay on the inside. If only I tasted it beforehand... Anyway. 🙄

It is only when I finished frying everything that I realized it went disgustingly sour 😱 And since it dipped in the dough the whole time, I couldn't even salvage the remainings. Absolute waste of a pineapple, and a good amount of flour, milk and eggs 😂🥲🫣 everything went to the garbage.
