Trump having dinner with antisemite Kanye West and neo-nazi/holocaust denier Nick Fuentes, as reported by Axios, is very normal and appropriate for a presidential candidate & former WH occupant. Never was, never will be, a bottom too low to go.

May I say that I’m appreciating this community where not every post is used as a target by the hateful to twist and turn and feed their anger and grievance?
I am grateful for all the good people here, the caring and thoughtful people, the people who yearn to make the world a better place. Happy Thanksgiving!
May the next few days be the most boring news cycles ever.
In a sane world, the possibility of over 800 mass shootings in a single year would be incomprehensible and intolerable.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have time for Thanksgiving when we focus on what binds us and put aside our differences for at least a brief and beautiful moment? Yes, I’m hopeful by nature.
A note of optimism: "Smith appears to have the necessary chops to withstand the critical onslaught from Republicans...He’s also not investigating a man who can hide behind the cloak of presidential immunity."

My short book meant to help explain how Lee Harvey Oswald ended up in Dealey Plaza in Dallas 59 years ago today.

"After the encouraging outcomes of the midterms, the latest twists & turns—including the House GOP’s obsession with prioritizing Hunter Biden & his laptop—offer fresh reason to doubt we can ever turn our total focus to making life better.
"Just when signs of light appear, the malignant ones find a way to wrest back the darkness and force more unnecessary struggle. As Michael Corleone said in The Godfather, Part III, 'Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.'” https://america.substack.com/p/jack-smith-takes-over
@CatSnedeker It's true that Trump no longer can hide behind the cloak of immunity, but far too often prosecutors edge up to indictment with him and the pull back. Jack Smith may be the best test of this pattern. Fingers crossed that Jack can take the heat and Merrick Garland won't find a new excuse to delay or deny. Trust in justice is suffering by the day.
@TinaThePerson Thanks.
For the record, I wholeheartedly hope that Jack Smith is as expeditious and fearless as promised, with his hunger for justice overcoming all else that will be thrown his way.

"We have good reason to wonder and worry that [newly appointed special counsel] Jack Smith, no matter how fearless he may be, may end up serving as another delay that will enable the Malignant One to avoid justice and claim he did nothing wrong, once again. In other words, Smith could be another Robert Mueller, touted as the country’s savior, yet...ultimately refused to advance criminal charges."

Sunday thought: Every time we see a sliver of light, the malignant ones find a way to wrest back the darkness.
@DKircaldy Thx.
@AmylWI So sorry.
Elon Musk knows that a Twitter poll, riddled with bots, is a fake poll of public opinion. But he justified his insertion of Trump into Twitter again with this, making a mockery of the truth and of every person with intelligence, whatever their political perspective.
Honestly, I wish all the cultists crying about Hunter Biden and his laptop recognized the billionaire oligarchs are laughing their way to the bank, pleased by the noisy distractions so they can stay focused on consolidating their power and wealth without disturbance. Musk’s use of a bogus poll to let the Malignant One back on Twitter makes the point.
So the Republicans have decided to be the Hunter Biden Laptop Party and their cult appears all in on insisting this is the most important issue facing America. What a tragic waste of time and energy.
@Hyper_Eye Thanks.
