@richard_iorio I’m in your camp. I’m doing one weekly post of all the room from the prior week. If I have other world notes etc. they get their own posts but I’m not gonna stress it.

Yes, cis people, it's transphobic to describe trans rights as "controversial". In the same way that it would be anti-scientific to describe climate change or the existence of COVID-19 as "controversial".
The existence of a loud and annoying group of denialists does not a controversy make.
First they came for the journalists, who were very surprised to find themselves in a giant warehouse filled with minorities, immigrants, disabled, trans, and gay people.
Being embarrassed by what I enjoy is laughable. As a babe my mother submerged me in the River Cringe and I am impervious to social damage.
@idellamithlynnd Our kiddo has been doing one dinner a week for the last 5-6 years and it's wonderful. Not only does it make us feel like we have this parenting thing kinda under control but she makes things we'd never have thought to try ourselves.
@matociquala @three_star_dave it’s amazing how much power you can have in Amber if you’ve a lot of time to write!
Looking over my followers and follows, maybe I should move to the dice.camp server…
Any opinions?
@matociquala @three_star_dave
Gaming! It makes you a genius!
I still have the binder full of your “I overspent and now need to make a ton of contributions” stories and journals and artwork. All the other 8 players in the game plus my notes fill one 3” binder and you made a 1.5” one all by yourself!
@deetwelve it’s a good start
@Johnnylemuria @Wulfboyraff because independently created and non-monetized things enjoyed by people must be crushed to maintain your above it all cool street cred.
Ignore them.
@FoiledAgain P.S.: I’m not sure your Wordpress is publishing. I keep getting a “coming soon” notice.
@FoiledAgain I’ve seen others be equally gobsmacked by that, and it really drives how much exploration and resource management matter in #OSR. I’m using B/X for mine and the d6 for stocking is
1-2 Monster
3: trap
4: special
5-6: empty
So 1/3rd if the rooms should have nothing, 1/3 reward exploration and the remaining 1/3rd are threats or opportunities with monsters.
The treasure rules are 50/50 for monsters, 33% for traps and 16% of empty rooms actually have treasure.

12: have you designed a dungeon: Oh, heavens yes. None of the proper megadungeon scale, but that’s another goal for 2023. Lots of shorter ones, especially in the #13thAge format where the dungeon has a time limited goal and 4 encounters – enough to make sure the players have to push forward to their limits. Never ran a Living Dungeon, though.

11: Have you played a hex crawl game: Not in some very long time, and not as it was supposed to. But it’s a goal for 2023. At the start of the pandemic I ran Isle of Dread for three 8th level #13ThAge PCs but they had a direct goal of the island center, where the city of the old ones was replaced with White Plume Mountain, so it wasn’t really hex-crawly.

10: Have you played a journaling game: not in the current sense of the term, no. I did run #AmberDicelessRPG for years where the players get bonus character points for promising to do diaries and journals, and one player was @matociquala whose PC was eventually repurposed for her Edda of Burdens heroine (https://www.amazon.com/Windwracked-Stars-Edda-Burdens-Book-ebook/dp/B003KN3WS6). Does that count? PS, go read the books, they’re awesome.
Here’s “week 0” of my #Dungeon23 project. I don’t know about you, but so far I’m having a blast.

@ColinAndersBrodd Looks Great!
I’m curious how you’re approaching this. One hex and all surrounding would be one weeks work - are you just working that pattern? Or do you have something else in mind?
My blog, when I maintain it, updated M/W/F so my first week of #Dungeon23 (December 26-January 1) will appear tomorrow, with each new week hopefully showing up on Mondays.
But there are some introductory notes and basic ideas up now; non-dungeon world building, new monsters, etc. will appear W and F.
@Matias never too late! Just create a little a day.
