@cav this is strange. Even for Boeing. Waiting for analysis and whether it was destroyed on purpose.

NO ONE gets immunity.
That’s what EQUAL JUSTICE UNDER THE LAW means.
Anything less is a dictatorship.
@briankrebs That happens to me when I'm running a VPN sometimes. It just doesn't work and I'm banging my head wondering what's wrong. Then, 'oh yeah' and once turned off they quit sending my requests to dev/null
Half-Life was truly groundbreaking: https://half-life.com/en/halflife25
(we shall not speak of Half-Life 2, which I consider an OK game at best.)
OpenAI has just fired Sam Altman as CEO and removed him from the Board of Directors. This seems like a serious matter. He seems to be hiding something big from the Board, and now they fired him. https://openai.com/blog/openai-announces-leadership-transition
@nixCraft Now I want to know what he was hiding. That's the bigger question.....
@nixCraft Yeah. this is big.. 'the board no longer has confidence in his leadership' ????
WTF
If you are a movie set Armor, you should NOT allow a live round to be within 15 miles.
Adolf Trump is having delusions of grandeur. Problematic that so called Americans fall for that crap.
@davetroy and you’re missing the whole point of the “Hypothsis” step of the scientific method.
@davetroy That post doesn't constitute a shred of evidence either...
@rakkhi Then you are missing why in the age of cheap storage and processing for big data (what Cyber Security is really all about) these costs are skyrocketing. 🙂
Anyway, your book. But technology overlays like Splunk, QRadar and other cyber related tooling usually pins their annual licenses to data ingestion and storage. This is on top of cloud costs (or local costs).
The goal should be strategies where infosec teams can mine and store their big data in a way that does not escalate these costs and cloud computing can keep the costs low.
A strategy would also need to be sure not to make alerting (mining) an endeavor where the lower vendor expenditures just gets shifted back on limited (or scaled up ie higher costs) infosec teams.
@rakkhi Scaling without costs (or reduced costs). You'll get into vendor tooling on this very quickly as it is the biggest reason that cyber security costs skyrocket.
I imagine we’re going to see a whole closet full of skeletons fall out in the coming months.
