My point was that social networks/media – as a whole – have become places that revolve mostly about outrage and drama. Even though tamer in my opinion, the Fediverse is no exception to that.

So my guess was that many good people realised that they've been using these platforms mainly for doomscrolling. Or maybe just that the time they spent made them feel worse afterwards.

And I doubt that people who've been interacting here for a while and then disappeared were suddenly driven away by the request to add an alt-text. 😄

@dbat Nope, hence the suggestion to use hashtag searches in a (single) tab. Would basically be a list of "followed" hashtags then, but not combined with certain users.

(You can, of course, follow hashtags on your home TL, but based on the context, I reckon that you want them separately for good reasons.)

@daniel Ich hab mir das schon zu Herzen genommen und gerade die Zeit zwischen 14 und 20 so gut es ging genossen. :) Tatsächlich hatte ich damals auch so eine Epiphanie, dass man zwischen 16 und 18 wahrscheinlich das beste Verhältnis von Rechten zu Pflichten hat.

Stimmte (für mich) zwar, hat aber auch nicht verhindert, dass diese Zeit schließlich vorbeiging. 😄

My best guess would be that, over the years, we've driven away many good people from social networks entirely. Although the Fedi is different in many ways, even here most trending posts are fueled by the typical day-to-day drama and outrage.

In the end he was like: "🤨 Huh, you're right, many of them are ambiguous. You really can't think about any of them for too long. 😅"

In the end, I passed the exam with the maximum of errors allowed because I'm bad at not thinking about things. 😬
