A local Norwegian fediverse superhero took matters into his own hands.
Literally.
A large amount of posters were removed and trashed. One newspaper did coverage of this, linking to the persons mastodon post.
This is regarded vandalism, police is looking into the case, and exactly what the result will be is unknown.
Democracy is a fragile thing, we know that. Money buys influence and the power that comes with it, and laws that prevents foreign capital to buy political influence are WAY more important than laws against removing posters from those that ignore these laws.
Norway is a small country, and we even share a small border with Russia. To not help a country under attack is the worst investment ever for us.
Russia has a keen interest in our northern ports, and the US is less keen on protecting their former allies, and more keen on grabbing from them (Greenland).
And this potentially desperate act from Russia shows that we matter.
