Feel free to say Hello and thanks for stopping by. :-)
No, I did not. 😄
Oh no!
Where'd my DH4's go? *chuckles*
I've spent the last few "in game" days in Derail Valley, in my Demo DE2, checking out the industries around the Machine Factory; Iron Mine West, Coal Power Plant, Oil Refinery and Forest Central, for the three unaccounted for Museum locomotives.
The S282 is at the Machine Factory. I found the Museum DM3 and the DE6 at the Coal Power Plant, and the Museum DH4 at Forest Central.
The stock locomotives, despawn after 2-hours sitting idle, as part of the game optimization. I was away for a lot longer than that. I have to either find the DH4 I upgraded with accessories, or see if the game will return them.
In the meantime, I'm taking the Museum DH4 to City South with my Demonstrator DE2 to get started on refurbishing that unit for use.
Happy Railroading!

I'm an avid player of Railroad Sims over the years as a way to relax and enjoy on my PC.
Just prior to Memorial Day weekend, I bought a game called Derail Valley Simulator on Steam and I've been playing it feverishly ever since.
It scratches an itch I didn't think I had. The "career mode" is extremely flexible and self-directed. The graphics and physics are amazing and the gameplay is very enjoyable. Definitely $40 (US) well spent IMHO.
I'm a little beyond midway through the progress of the game. I have more than half of the Operator Licenses and I'm about to renovate the second of six "Museum" locomotives.
Does anyone else play?
Just putting this here for my recollection for future DV game sessions:
License order:
Train Driver, Freight Haul, DE2 (Starting Group)
Shunting
Dispatcher
Train Length 1
Concurrent Order 1
Logistical Haul
Multi-Unit or DH4 Locomotive
Manual Service
Museum
DE6 Locomotive
We'll see how long I can make the game work with operating two DE2's in series before I need to upgrade to the DH4. Skipping the DE3 for these early "get to know the game" sessions.
Thanks to a young, French, wuffie friend re-introducing me to the title, I purchased a new video game for myself on Steam...
"Derail Valley Simulator"
I'm a bit of a railfan and I bought MS Train Simulator over a decade ago. I have a few PARR add-ons for it and play it now and again to change things up.
But what Dovetail's Train Sim Classic (the new title) lacks with their Career mode, Derail Valley Sim has in spades. Enough prototypical tasks as a train engineer, conductor and mechanic all in one.
Plus there's a nice sized world and network of tracks to move around in, with cities and industries spaced around, all with inter-connected economies to drive consists and manifests. Each of those places are also developed with track plans, yards, sidings, round-houses and sheds.
As a player, the game is flexible with how you choose to play. No two career sessions will be the same as the job selection is fairly random, but well conceived. You can do Freight Hauls, Shunting, and Logistic Hauls. You can add additional licences for Fragile Loads, Hazmat, Long Trains, Concurrent Orders, Multi-Unit, and more.
The loco's are a mix of European and North American with Diesel and Steam options. The designers used European couplers to make design, coding and operations easier.
Add to that, the game has accessories you can add to your engine to make operations easier and set up your own HUD at the controls.
There is so much content in this game I could go on and on...IT'S VR Compatible!!
This is already TL:DR, so what I'd like to say is, this game, for $40, has a lot of BANG for the buck. I am thoroughly enjoying it from a Train Sim enthusiast.
Does anyone else play?
Peace and be well friends!

Ella and Ripley with the qualifying ribbons and placements they earned at the Teacup Dog Agility trial, at Agility and Rally for Fun, in Columbus, OH, this weekend.
Ella got 4 Qualifying runs and placements, and Ripley got 3 Qualifying runs and placements.
Ripley also earned his TDAA Games 1 Title.
I had some time on my paws last night as my dog agility judge recertification class was cancelled.
So I took the shoebox down that has my old Pokemon TCG cards in it, and looked through the last deck I constructed.
Fire and Water, with a few Normal 'mon in there, built around Feraligator and Rapidash, with a sidebar of Green to replace the Red.
I have to assume I knew what I was doing back then, but I think the deck building meta has changed from 20 mon, 20 trainer, 20 energy cards.
There also weren't any of the "X" cards out then, so the deck in my possession is woefully under-powered for anything but "kitchen table" play. Heck, I'm not even sure if any of my old cards are still allowed to be played. Does Pokemon have card restrictions like MtG?
Found out, the deck is not Standard Legal. My cards don't even have letters on the bottom to denote which Block they're in. 😃
Anyway, it's been a while since I've had anything meaningful to share here. Most of my life of late has been given over to work, dog agility the fire department and political activism.
Hope everyone is well. Don't lose hope and lean on your friends for support through these dark and turbulent times. Together we'll make it through to better times again.

I deactivated my X (Twitter) accounts yesterday.
This includes my Main, my Little and a Fursuit (April) accounts.
It's been about two years since I walked away from the platform right around when it changed to X. My mental health has improved because of it and I haven't felt the need to go back.
So I've wrapped up an unused social media outlet so it can't be hacked or misused.
Sharing it with folks so they know I'm not on X anymore. New accounts are imposters.
Hmm. Looks like it might be a good day to head up to Camp for the weekend. ;-)

To any of my followers who are Emergency Responders, like me, you have my gratitude...every day...even if I don't give voice to it.
But today, Brothers and Sisters, you have my admiration.
Give yourself some self-care today, and endeavour to find healthy ways to constructively deal with the stress of "the job."
Peace and be safe friends.

After a decent game in World of Warships, I ran the updates on M:tG Arena to see what goodies they might have been giving away for Bloomburrow.
I have to say they weren't giving away all that much. 😃 I played and lost 3 games with random players in my "ILose'UWin" account.
I was just playing using the current starter decks and I had no idea how they played. I still don't. I played a white/blue deck with detectives in it and I generated a bunch of clues which I think let me draw another card into my hand, but I couldn't make that mechanic work.
