Tak!

I have been researching and working on a text stack good part of this spring.
It is called Skribidi, and it can do bidirectional text layout, rendering and editing.
It has fairly lean dependencies and is MIT licensed.
https://github.com/memononen/Skribidi
It kinda started as a self help project trying to deal with weltschmerz and burnout. I needed something the felt even mildly meaningful and complex enough that I could hyper focus on details.
Any feedback welcome!
@aras whew, so I guess it's fixed now

If you make a Mastodon post to promote your game, remember to mention the title of the game somewhere in the post.

Let's try something. I'm an English technology lawyer in private practice. I can help with tech contracts, software licensing (including FOSS), SaaS and the like, and data protection.
Unlike most lawyers I'm actually technically literate, in that I spent a number of years as a sysadmin before becoming a lawyer, and I've kept up my knowledge since.
I'm practical, quick, and my rates are reasonable. Maybe I could be useful to your business?
Boosts appreciated!
@ArneBab oh yeah, me too, we even met at one of the sprints in Zurich, and I was a big evolve/topics proponent
I've kind of given up in the last few years though, since I'm not using it at work any more, all the big forges have dropped support, etc. π€·
@ArneBab oof, that would have been a lifesaver when I was working on unity

we're in the process of migrating live data updates to an archive format to reduce the number of network requests, and we're tentatively just using zip because it's simple and universal and does everything we need
we build everything on osx because ios is one of our target platforms
an engineer on another team testing the new format: "why is it creating this `_MACOSX` subfolder with a bunch of stuff in it" π

how many hours of butt-in-seat actual working on your game (not doing social media, meetings, discussing things on slack/discord, etc) do you consider a reasonable day?

One of my students implemented #Uxn in Vulkan so the VM can run on a GPU and render directly, without SDL. It was a tour de force.
I hope I can find another student to improve it. It works after a fashion, but as usual with final year projects, there was not enough time to fix all remaining issues.
ICYI, I forked the repo:
Not loving that the minimum width of the Unity 6000 Build Profile window is half my screen
