@murdoc I grew up with a dad who loved westerns tooooo much. So I was sick of them before I could talk. He actually died in his sleep watching an old cowboy documentary.
Yes. If I can get a copy of those star wars shows, I would watch them.
@murdoc
I agree with most of that and had a similar experience with Firefly.
I haven't watched a lot of the star wars shows. Disney has never been a priority for us.
@murdoc if it helps, I'm also a fan of Firefly and Star Wars.
And the one you haven't seen is Lower Decks. It's my new favorite... Even over TNG. Picard is still my favorite captain.
@murdoc @actuallyautistic
Relatable.
@murdoc @actuallyautistic I don't know the names as I always forget to read words I see and I'm pretty high right now, mmmm self medication.
Maybe you know?
In no particular order:
The one where Tom goes too fast and has amphibian babies with Janeway.
The one where Data is determined to be sentient and avoids being dismantled for science.
The one where boimler and Mariner cross over to Stranger New Worlds... But we aren't supposed to talk about that.
The one where the Enterprise is overrun with hand warmers.
The one where Warf and Dax got together.
The one where T'Pol's grandma was on earth in the past.
Honestly, if it's not a Q episode, I liked it... Or Discovery... Too emotional for me.
@pathfinder @actuallyautistic thank you
My friends birthday party was too much. I didn't even drink and I feel like I got hit by a truck. My wife was having fun and she rarely gets out for health reasons, so I stayed hours past my tolerance.
@actuallyautistic
I DON'T FUCKING WANT TO BE AT WAR WITH IRAN.
WE, THE PEOPLE, DO NOT FUCKING WANT THIS!!!
@murdoc @actuallyautistic
Ok. Ok. We're home. I'm dead.
I'm good on parties for the rest of the year. We had fun and it was only 8 people but there was too much small talk. At one point I was talking about my favorite star trek episodes with the guest of honor. So that was fun. And I learned how to play bocce ball. I'm "naturally good at it."
@murdoc @actuallyautistic update. We are going. A friend is picking us up with a promise of a ride home at any time. For a birthday gift I got him a Shirley Temple beverage from the Dollar tree. Mmmmm... Red.
@murdoc @actuallyautistic exactly.
@monaant thank you. I hope so too. The pain in my neck is getting ridiculous. At least I don't feel lightheaded when sitting anymore.
Our small friend group is having a party tonight for a birthday. We were just now invited. 4.5 hours before it's starts.
@actuallyautistic
@actuallyautistic I wonder if anyone would be open to a weekly group #actuallyautistic ZOOM-based mindfulness meditation sit? No cost. No ulterior motives. This is something I offer because I need to help others and, also, I find benefit in meditating in groups, at times.
Bears mentioning that I'm a trained meditation teacher. Part of that is not condescending to others about it. ;-)
Meditation is hard. Yet even "poor" and "failed" meditationis still "good" meditation. Anyone who tells you meditation is EASY (edit) is either talking about their current and temporary experience or has not meditated much. It can, sometimes, be easy. It can often be terribly challenging.
DISCLAIMER: I am *not* a mental health professional. While you *can* meditate, while having (C-)PTSD (and I am a testament to that), it can also bring up extremely painful experiences/triggers that could harm you.
@ me on this message or privately if you have an interest.
So I have some chronic health issues, surprising I know. Recently things have gone down hill some and so I was told my thyroid is acting up because I'm not getting enough of several vitamins. They told me they would send me for a multivitamin infusion but that was over a week ago, I think, and I still struggle to stand for more than a few minutes at a time. I called the specialist yesterday and they told me my doctor can't seem to send the fax correctly for them to set up the appointment. I asked my "sister in law" if she will order me some multivitamins and they are on the way. The problem is that scleroderma has turned a lot of my inside into scar tissue... I'm tired of this and doctors.
Outgas complete. 🖖

Hello!
30 trillion cells in my body are human, whatever that means, and 38 trillion are various bacteria! There are a bunch of viruses too which are currently impacting my functionality!
I am 68 trillion microorganisms in a trench coat which results in a sort of self-propelling, self-replicating digestion tube, but I am paid to act as if I am a clean, rational, thinking machine!
This is very stressful for all 68 trillion of us, so sometimes we complain about it on the internet.
@PeteLittle as a life long ginger, I can relate.
