Holy COW: thanks to @ducksauz I have discovered that my Flipper Zero works PERFECTLY as a clicker out of the box as a simple bluetooth connection (ANSI keyboard) to my MBP!

It’s nondeterministic - you don’t get consistent responses, so it’s useless for any task that needs to be performed consistently.

It doesn’t take feedback the same way a learning human does. If I commission some artwork, the artist will send me an in-progress sketch. I can red circle any areas that need changing, maybe sketch in a suggestion, and the artist can work with that! It takes the work it’s already done and makes those changes and moves forward. GenAI doesn’t do that, it’s generating totally new images every time. So it can’t “tweak”.

$client in this case very famously laid off most of their human staff a few months ago to pivot to AI. They are now fixing it by hiring 700 humans back and hoping to save their company.

@jwgoerlich wow I really internalized this. I have no idea where I learned it. I never look to patch a bug, I look for the reason it happened. I just hit a subtle one where I'd used integer value instead of hex because the source data used such incomprehensible illogic I couldn't easily understand it, not in the code, not in the comments, and not in the docs. So added way more docs, more comments explaining the illogic, with examples, and clarified each instance with comments showing the illogic

It sounds strange when one or two of her claws can't hold onto any longer and slide just a bit further down the fabric, resulting in her hanging there with just one leg and licking calmly the other one.

Alright y'all, I need the collective wisdom of the fedi-verse. I'm looking for casual (non-hawaiian) button down shirts, long or short sleeve, ideally with larger prints rather than the small and busy prints that are more commonplace.
