@linker3000 so even I’m not the friend owing an operational Pi1541 I feel the urge to comment on this,
for this use case I connect the drive to a PC using a Nano USB to serial adaptor and the c1541 CLI tool, on a linux box.
It’s on a mini breadboard so I could change it if needed.
also you’d need a serial connector for it 🤔
