@cort That was fun! Good job! Took me a few games to beat it. PICO-8 is an awesome little tool.

@bitshifter I’m at the airport too. Albeit a different one. When do you get to Melbourne?
@bitshifter Awesome!
I'm heading to GCAP next week (an Aussie Game Dev Conference) in Melbourne. This will be my 25th consecutive annual Aussie game dev conference, and I look forward to it every year. Can't wait to cram 12 months of socialising into 3 days again.
Today was ... interesting. If you followed me for the past months over on the shitbird site, you might have seen a bunch of angry German words, lots of graphs, and the occassional news paper, radio, or TV snippet with yours truely. Let me explain.
In Austria, inflation is way above the EU average. There's no end in sight. This is especially true for basic needs like energy and food.
Our government stated in May that they'd build a food price database together with the big grocery chains. But..
I just got back from a week in Seattle and my connecting flights via LAX were very tight. I did some research and discovered THERE ARE TUNNELS! You can get from some of the terminals to Terminal B without going through TSA! I made my flight easily, but my luggage didn’t.
I was listening to The Algorithm on Spotify and glanced at their bio.
@Ludospex she was so happy when she got her diagnosis. Made me better understand myself too.
My non-gaming Wife, just published an article on how a video game character helped us to identify our daughter as being Autistic. You can read the article here (pages 18-19) https://issuu.com/fusa-association/docs/empire_times_issue_3_13.6.23
After years of misdiagnoses, it was a real relief to finally understand the why of how she felt. And this game, Persona 5, helped her (and us) to understand herself a little more.
@invalidop maybe your test suite is broken?
@merrak "OrthoCat"
We named this cat Fibonacci, but we should have named him Pythagoras (That *is* a right angle isn’t it?)
@Farbs yup. I’ve been doing that for many years now.
@ackack @TomF @invalidop @ktemkin I had a tour guide when travelling through the mountains in Northern Thailand who had the most Aussie accent. I, an Aussie, asked him where he'd learnt English and why he sounded so Ocker.
Turns out, he had learnt English by watching Neighbours.
@AngryAnt I normally use https://regex101.com/, but even with that I suck.
I just used ChatGPT to figure out a regex for me. I needed it for a NRQL query, and my regex skills are pathetic so it seemed like a good chance to try it for something useful.
ChatGPT was confidently, persistently wrong, but was correct enough that I could figure it out for myself.
One thing it could do well though was to write a haiku about the query once it had finished. (Although, upon inspection, it also got the number of syllables wrong in the second line)
@soundworlds Unfortunately, they are totally silent.
@agersant Done!
