@StarTrekHour What ever this is about, take your time.
We can wait till you can give it the attention it needs.

No. As much they act like bullies, they were doing their jobs. And Migleemo is a Starfleet doctor.
Besides understanding why they did what they did, the “do no harm” part of his training took over. And he is a nice gut that wants to help others.

It’s what his alt universe counterpart would do.
Bold Boimler came out again after meeting him. Call it jealousy or becoming what he can be with effort.

From an outside POV: Karen/Kevin, entitled and William Shanter’s school of overacting.

@StarTrekHour With the context of the mission, they were the only ones who could connect with Ma’ah.
But sending another more experienced officer to oversee the mission might have been a good idea. Nothing really bad happened, but they were in hostile territory.

With how chaotic early Klingon culture was, rituals was there way to stabilize things. And in the absence of an organized government, they needed something to unite everyone.

@StarTrekHour @JoeSondow Wanting to know what else is out there. Conquering others for fun and profit.

Or escaping their planet. It might go the way of Krypton.

I liked the different opening. It set the theme and setting of the episode.
As nice as it was, it will lose its effect if used too much. And it can’t be a serious episode, rather a side quest type one.
It did show more of Klingon background, so a Vulcan version or other species would have been nice.

@StarTrekHour I think they could. If they studied Ovidia 4 and the strange radiation there, they could replicate it enough to maintain Zero’s biological body.
It would take more than the Voyager A to achieve this.

@StarTrekHour @petertrek1 If they had the training: Mortal Kombat (but less unaliving). The pain, adrenaline and fear of pain would have a similar effect.
Added bonus: being on that planet, their bodies would heal like nothing happened.

@StarTrekHour It would not be easy. As I see it, only the potential death woke her up. She does have a strong team mentally, but she was overwalmed by have senses.
I’m sure she could be persuaded to leave, but that might take longer than they have.

Probably didn’t miss much. Maybe the freedom to float/fly. Saved their lives in the previous episode.

@StarTrekHour As is tradition, adults here are portrayed as oblivious.
But the command crew want Gwyn and the others to keep their heads down and from what they see, they are. They also have other things on their minds, so out of sight out of mind.

Maj’el is a lot closer to them at this point, so makes sense she is the one to raise the alarm.

Food and smelling. I would think those offer the most intense feelings.
Walking, breathing and wind on her skin are good, but food is more personal to most.

@StarTrekHour Watch it, yes. It has enough fast paced action to be interesting.

Being stuck behind a desk.
After all the adventures, first contacts and such, your reward is being stuck behind a desk watching others have adventures. You are now a paper pusher.

@StarTrekHour No. With that many uncertainness in play, any close relationships at a low rank is risky. At LT or higher you are more likely to stay on the ship, so safer.

I’ve been to the Line Con (Star Trek convention in Los Vegas) once. So I’ve spent way too much money on autographs there.

One I don’t have and would like: Patrick Stewart.

Nothing exciting happens. For an Admiral that probably has seen combat and other adventurous things, milking space whales is boring.
And the chances of a promotion of your only achievement in the past year has been increasing milk yield …

Same can be said about any lower persons given this duty.

On paper, yes on both. But they both had past history that influenced their behavior.
In practice, its a lot more complicated.
