The worst part of Australian gun control debates are that we have a bunch of people who've never owned guns, but want more because they think it will protect them; and a bunch of dangerous people who do, who want more guns to be more threatening.

I am, without a doubt, an unashamed gun nut. I love every aspect of them, from the physical shape, through to the mechanical design. They are wonderful pieces of precise engineering.

I am also an unashamed gun control nut. I think no one, including myself, should own guns. Guns should be owned by clubs, by companies doing pest control, or the government. Anyone else owning a gun, deactivated or not, is a danger to society.

People who want guns should never own them; it's something my dad drilled into me from a young age, while teaching me about them

this is, if memory serves, one of the first of my drawings that ever got wide traction on my tumblr when I believe I was still in high school, which would be followed by a prolific few years of being extremely active across different blogs as I pursued the beginning of a professional art career, ultimately becoming overwhelmed and scaling back just a twitter and instagram, then culminating with me falling away from social media as a whole and moving back to rural [place] where I now live and work full time at a farm animal rescue.

It's so wild to see that drawing after all this time and it has brightened my day quite a lot!

The only social channel or website I keep at the moment is my youtube channel @itsvondell, where I put my occasional mashup music projects and. I still draw and make art of all sorts, mostly for fun or for a handful of longtime clients, but it's been a while since I shared it very widely online like I used to. Who knows what the future may hold though.

I don't believe anyone else in the world shares [my username], so any account anyone ran into with any variation of [Vondell] is some snapshot of me from some point in time. For better or for worse, lol.

Anyway, you have my express permission and blessing to repost, repurpose, modify or otherwise use the pugatee drawing for any purpose you may want to!

@QasimRashid Just last night my wife and I were discussing the fact that a go fund me had been set up for Ahmed Al-Ahmed and at the time it had nearly a million AUD in it.

We were hoping it was enough that he would have something left over as a reward for him after the medical, physio, drugs, transport, lost work and everything else associated with the injury. After some discussion we thought out of that sum after those deductions there probably wouldn't be anything left for him to enjoy.
