Is that filter automated? I have been thinking about my reliance on some US stations for things like Winlink and HF aprs via js8call and VARA HF also. That's the thing about APRS, it defaults to anyone accepting and passing along your packets, so you don't have immediate control of who picks you up.

Yeah that would be a non-starter for me also. No thanks. I'm seeing ft8 on js8call frequencies also, about 4 kHz above the usual ft8 frequency. Annoying for sure.

What is your FM bandwidth? Magloops are notorious for being high Q so maybe that's part of the issue.

What mode are you trying? I have a Hermes Lite 2. With 5 watts it's ok for ft8 and js8call, but isn't enough to do Winlink or ssb voice. That is with an external end fed antenna. An indoor magloop would be very inefficient.
I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F.
18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it.
