@robotspacer Linode has been good for me for several years.
@aleen is my Babeanator!

Our vehicle is in for minor service, so we have a rental. The rental and I are not getting along. I had to give it a name so I could yell at it. I named it Greg because Tony was taken: https://youtu.be/3k-ZTuAOyPw
Was able to order a Switch 2 online at Costco. Took a couple tries... we'll see if/when it arrives! 😅
This is the page in the history book where future generations may ask, “Why didn’t more people speak up?" Don’t let this slide.
Back up your 2fa keys, or add a second method.
Do it now, before your phone dies/breaks/is stolen.
That's it that's the post.
@palmin Not seeing it show up even after scrolling for a long while. Capitalization doesn't seem to matter; same results either way with "S3".
Searching for "S3 files" shows it as the first result under the ad, though.
I went to a talk lately that was mostly about something else, but the speaker came out with:
“If you only remember one thing from this talk, remember this. Everyone in this room who likes helping people, raise your hand.”
Every hand, or nearly every hand, went up.
“If you like asking other people for help, keep your hand up.”
Almost every hand went back down.
“As you can see, people like helping you. When you ask for help, you’re making them feel good, even if you don’t like asking.”
I’ve genuinely forgotten the rest of the presentation but I won’t forget that.
Fun Fact: Toll free numbers like (800), (877), (866), (888), etc. always reveal your calling phone number to the called party, even if you have Caller ID blocking enabled. There are technical reasons for this that I won't get into right now.
We've shifted our sleeping schedule to wake up far earlier than we've ever regularly woken up before (6:00 AM every day). I _hate_ that it's working really well, making us feel better, more productive, etc.
I don't _want_ to be a morning person.
***Severe pout.***
Okay. I need to follow up on something.

I was a street medic for years. I could give all kinds of advice about all sorts of things, but here is one about tear gas and paper spray.
LAW (Liquid Antacid and Water at a 50/50 mix) is safe and effective for treating both CS Gas and to pepper spray.
I have personally had my eyes flushed with it and have treated other people with it. I have also experienced this with water. It is orders of magnitude more effective than water.
Proper application is to use a squirt bottle and start at the inner corner of the eye and work outwards. Typically this requires one or two flushings.
This was developed by EMTs during the Anti-Globalization movement of the late 90's and early 00's (which I was a part of).
I was trained as a street medic by the Black Cross Medical Collective which was made up of radical leftist EMTs, Doctors, and Nurses in Oreogon. They ran experiements by literally pepper spraying each other and testing differnt methods and mixes. Nothing was more effective.
I am dismayed by the lost knowledge in the intervening years. I wonder how many activists like me just left because of the atmosphere.
I don't know what other tips I can share, but feel free to ask how we solved problems in those days and take what's useful for your fights now.
New bag, new #playdate bling!
be unapologetically weird.
the wrong people will leave.
the right people will stick around.

@dan I'm sorry this is happening to you. There should be a hotline to call or something.
