Due to the ridiculous amounts of 500 errors I keep getting here, I'm migrating to mastodon.social.
I have followed you all from there. Hopefully the experience there is better and smoother.
Guide my path as only you know how - in whispering leaves and slowing grassland.

@diotima ordered me the cool kids version of #baldursgate3 for my birthday. I cannot wait for it to ship out and arrive. I can add my map and poster to my gaming wall alongside my #deadisland2 stuff!
@diotima they're looking really good. You've put in so much work! :aww:
@diotima bring back Jeff! Things got done when he was there. Then again, I'd not want him back in that toxic place. He seemed like a good guy.
Mirrorwatch was a big let down. I was like woo let's go, good Vs bad! But no it's just everyone Vs everyone. Like oh... Okay. And thanks for the very detailed and obvious explanation of the new skills blizzard! Not. :notlikemiya:
@diotima Bitchy tiny goth gamer geek at your service.
@diotima that's an expensive 4 inches. I can get 6 for $35. :dunno:
@diotima height generators turned into working on a full website. So... Yeah. More shit to do. Well, more shit for you to do. I just sit here cheering from the sidelines. :smugsiptea:
@diotima oh my days what a garbage movie that was. Predictable, overused plot. Boring characters. Characters who did nothing to do with their class, ie, a bard who is supposed to what, level 17 who used no spells and sang a song like... Twice. And it wasn't even like he was using bardic inspiration.
The druid was the only cool character, but, too many wild shapes and wtf was that creepy owlbear?
Let's give an honourable mention to the cgi/ effects on things like the tabaxi and arrakokra...
@diotima @TwoBeeSan also pissed in shar's face and smacked down more than a few sharrans. Taught grym a lesson in hosting guests and cazador learned the hard way not to underestimate anyone.
The gith learned not to piss off adventurers by torturing and killing innocent people.
Ansur learned not to jump to conclusions.
The emperor learned not to be a lying bitch.
And the netherbrain learned what a paladin smite feels like.
@aaaa @BurnedOliveTree there's an option to turn them on. So it's not just honour mode, that's just the mode that gives you one save and restart on death.
@diotima now where have I seen this before. Hmmm...
@diotima no honour. No play. Thems the rules. It was tough, but it was worth it to feel like we'd done the right things!
@diotima I do love the alt cover books. My giants one is pretty. I'm glad you're building up your collection of books again. :3
@ampersandrew @diotima you gotta grind to get those levels. Especially if you're struggling on bosses and need to up your stats. It's typical of the soulsborne type games.
In my 25+ years of gaming, I've never played anything that can even compare to bg3 in all honesty. And that's coming from someone who hates turn based combat. I've 100% Bloodborne and dark souls. I've been top 1% support in overwatch. I've played stardew valley. And everything in-between. Bg3 just smashed everything.
@ampersandrew @diotima while I agree, elden ring is amazing. It's definitely the marmite of games. And if you don't like games where you die, die, die, die and die some more. And grind, grind, grind. Its not for you. It's also nowhere near comparable to bg3. It's a completely different style and feel.
And outerworlds, I've heard less people recommend that game than I have recommend it.
Also, multiplayer is generally something that games we look for need.
@diotima baldurs gate 3 is a masterpiece. The emotion, characters, story, environments. All amazing. I cry like a bitch every time man.
And the fact they delivered what was promised, and more. With zero add ons or extra costs. Amazing. It puts other studios to shame. I can't wait to follow them into their next projects!
@diotima I'm all for alt text to help people who need it. But I just cannot do it. I can look at a picture and in my mind I know the picture is for example a cat playing with a toy. But I cannot translate that from thought to words.
I've seen many people saying we don't have to change to help autistic people. But the same people screeching about apps that don't have things to aid users who are blind. Which kind of shows how neurodivergent people are seen really.
@exocomics I feel this in my soul. My Calico is always up in my business when I eat, especially fruit or veggies. Lil weirdo.
