@grahamperrin for the record, this was a bug un the kmods build script, which when we switch from 2025Q3 to 2025Q4 stopped ended up build main instead of 2025Q4 sorry about this, should be fixed now, newt publication should be today at midnight UTC

@fellmoon you have been too quick in your upgrade process and should have upgraded your installed packages before the last freebsd-update run. now you should run pkg bootstrap -f

@napierge this command should work the same on both env and no modifications are supposed to be done manually, my guess is you do not have working dns on FreeBSD 15
