@Kilian The main issue there is that you could use that software for years. I bought the last Creative Suite for I think. €1300 in 2011 or so, and used it up to 2018, give or take. Creative Cloud costs half the purchase price every year.
@klim @domesticetch I mean… kinda on brand for them afaik
I don’t know who needs to hear this but you don’t have to pick a side.
You can just be against bombings without being pro any involved party, no matter what the rabid internet freaks tell you.

He didn’t actually hit me, it just appears that way because I moved the camera out of the way. He had a great time at the beach, that’s for sure.

@floris Same. I’m not changing it. They are the ones who suck.
@timsev they are pretty dangerous. Not as dangerous as angle grinders or table saws, but definitely up there. When I was 6 or so I grabbed a powered down but still spinning drill to stop it in my father’s workshop. I learned not to do that again 😝

To cut a template, I had to measure the distance from the cutting edge of the bit to the pivot point. Thoughtlessly, I put in a spiral upcut bit and didn’t fully tighten it, because I was only measuring.
Fast forward 20 minutes. The bit came out of the collet at 22000 RPM.
Luckily the workbench caught it instead of any part of me.
Did have to change underwear after that.
@simon it’s grifts all the way down in ai town too
@simon the only thing interesting about nfts and blockchain was the grifts and crimes
if we rebranded communism as “prosperity economics” and “seizing the means of production” as “supply-side democracy” I think we could make some serious inroads with working-class liberals. words don’t mean anything so why not weaponize that.
@hdv I bet those people include government bureaucrats.
@hdv Is “localwashing” a thing now? And MS would still have access, so a US govt request would still get them access too.
🔥 Fontstand is working on becoming a cooperative—co-owned and governed by the independent type foundries. No VCs. No middlemen. It’s a radical rethinking of how platforms should work—built on trust, equity, transparency, and shared success at its core.
